How it all started
Once upon time there was a documentary filmaker named David Adkin who wanted to do a documentary on queer comics. Around that same time there was a queer comic named Maggie Cassella who was producing shows that were, well, funny that way. David came to meet Maggie and they came to talking and that came to the creation of the first international queer comedy festival: we're funny that way™!
The Foundation
We’re Funny That Way is a national fundraising organization whose goal is to raise funds to support queer organizations across Canada.
Specifically, the We’re Funny That Way™ Foundation aims to donate funds to organizations that will be highly impacted by their receipt.
